To Move a Project

Use this procedure to move a project with all its associated files to a different file location.

When you move a project, all internal paths between the project files are automatically updated, so that all relationships between drawings are kept current.

Danger: When you repath a project that was saved in a version of AutoCAD Architecture prior to 2010, the drawings are saved in the new file format. You will no longer be able to open these drawings in a version of AutoCAD Architecture prior to 2010. Synchronizing a project with the project standards will also save the project drawings in the new file format.
Note: Do not use File Explorer to move a project file to a different location. This might result in inconsistent project data.
  1. Verify that the project is closed.
  2. On the Quick Access toolbar, click Project Browser .
  3. Select the project you want to move, right-click, and click Move Project.
  4. Select the location to which you want to move the project.
  5. Click OK.

The project and all its files and folders are moved to the new location.
