To Mark a Place by Specifying Its Latitude and Longitude

If the latitude and longitude of a location is known, you can insert a position marker at the point corresponding to that location in model space.

You can insert position markers only if you have assigned a geographical location to the drawing file.

  1. Click Geolocation tab > Tools panel > Mark Position drop-down > Lat-Long. Find
Note: The Geolocation tab displays only after you set a geographic location using AutoCAD 2014 or later.
  2. Specify the latitude of the location and press ENTER.
  3. Specify the longitude of the location and press ENTER.

  4. In the in-place text editor, specify a label for the location.
  5. Click anywhere outside the in-place text editor.
