  2. Select to edit an existing table or create a table.
Note: Create Empty File is available if a footprint database does not exist in the designated location.
  3. Select the table to edit or enter the name for a new table and click OK.
  4. In the Footprint dialog box:
    • Edit. Select the record to edit and click Edit Record.
    • Add. Click Add New. If the new record is like an existing record, highlight the existing record before you click Add New.

The Catalog Number and Footprint block name, at a minimum, must be filled in to provide a key field for the search and a block or geometry definition for the matching footprint. If the footprint block is not in an AutoCAD search path or an AutoCAD Electrical toolset search path, include the part of the path that must be appended to one of these search paths (or you can enter the full path).

  6. Click Save to save your changes and keep the dialog box open for more editing, or click OK / Save/ Exit to save your changes and close the dialog box.
