Workspaces are user interface configurations that determine the ribbon panels that display in the drawing window. For example, the workspace determines whether the Tool Palettes window and Command Line window float or dock to specific sides of the application window.
If you work in a multi-disciplinary firm and perform several different design tasks, such as the design of HVAC and piping systems, workspaces are particularly useful. You can use them to save user interface configurations that are tailored to different tasks. Once the workspaces are created, you can quickly switch between them as needed.
