When you choose to insert a marking or stamping symbol, the Marking/Stamping Symbol dialog box provides you with the ability to select either the marking symbol or the stamping symbol but not both.

You cannot change the symbol type by editing the symbol after you create it. Instead, delete the symbol, then add a new symbol with the correct symbol type.
- The marking symbol is a circle with a leader.
- The stamping symbol is a triangle with a leader.
