Mechanical Browser and Structure Catalog Icon Reference (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Icons for standard parts

Each standard part has a unique icon to identify it. The table below shows one such icon and how it changes as the state of the standard part changes. In the mechanical browser, a tooltip displays the details of the standard part.

Standard part (Countersunk Screw, in this case).

Ghost standard part (a standard part that has become a ghost component).

Standard part flagged as a reference component.

Xref standard part.

Xref standard part that has been flagged as a reference component.
Standard part definition, for which no instances have been created. Such icons are visible only in the Structure Catalog.
Xref standard part definition, for which no instances have been created. Such icons are visible only if the Show Uninstanced Xref Definitions right-click menu option in the Structure Catalog is turned on.

Unresolved xref folder or annotation view. In the unresolved state, AutoCAD Mechanical toolset is not able to differentiate between an annotation view and a folder. The same icon is used to indicate both.
Unresolved xref part, standard part or assembly. In the unresolved state, AutoCAD Mechanical toolset is not able to differentiate between an assembly and a part. The same icon is used to indicate all three.
