To Create a Detail View for an Annotation View (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)
You can create a detail view for a selected area of an annotation view.
Click
Home tab
Detail panel
Detail View
.
Find
To create a detail view with a circular detail boundary:
Click the point to use as the center of the area to be detailed.
Click in the drawing area to indicate the radius of the circular boundary.
To create a detail view with a rectangular detail boundary:
In the command line, enter R.
In the drawing area, click one corner of the area to be detailed.
Click the opposite corner.
To create a detail view using an existing closed contour as the detail boundary:
In the command line, enter O.
Click the object to use as the detail border.
In the Detail dialog box, specify the enlargement scale for the area to magnify.
To prevent a specific component view or folder from displaying in the detail view:
Click
.
Shift-click the object to remove until you see its name in the tooltip.
Press ENTER.
Click OK.
Place the detail view in the drawing area.
If the default settings for detail views specify that the detail boundary must connect to the detail border with a leader:
If the leader must contain bends, click in the drawing area to indicate the vertexes.
Click anywhere inside the detail view.
