Create a new parts catalog in the Autodesk Infrastructure Parts Editor.
- Open the Parts Editor.
- In the Catalog tab, click New.
- Under available Domains, choose Drainage Structure.
- Click Create to open the Create Drainage Structure Catalog dialog.
- Enter a unique catalog file name.
- Optionally, describe this catalog.
- The catalog type is already specified.
- Choose Metric Units for this example.
- Click OK.
- The Parts catalog displays.
- Note the name you specified and the .ICBT extension.
- The Parts list is empty for a new catalog.
- The Assembly and Structure counters show none declared or defined so far.
- The tools are unavailable until you declare a part family type to create.
- In the Navigation Panel, under Part Families, you see the three types of parts required to create a Drainage Structure:
- Surface Structures, such as inlets.
- Underground Structures, such as basins or boxes.
- Grates or Covers.
- You create a part family by sizing parts for each of these types.
- Select Surface Structures.
- Note that the New tool highlights.
- You are now ready to add parts to a parts family in this new catalog.
