To Control Whether Corridor Feature Lines Can Cross a Corridor Baseline

In certain design situations, such as when working with a divided highway with a median, parts of the corridor on one or both sides may cross a horizontal baseline. This can cause issues with the appearance of corridor feature lines, because by default they are prevented from crossing the baseline. There is a corridor feature setting that you can change so that the corresponding corridor feature lines will be drawn so that they cross the baseline.

The following illustrations show an example of the issue and the effect of the setting. The centerline used in the corridor is shown in red.

Feature Lines Cross Baseline = No Feature Lines Cross Baseline = Yes

To specify that feature lines can cross the corridor baseline

  1. In Toolspace, on the Settings tab, right-click the Corridor collection. Click Edit Feature Settings.

The Edit Feature Settings - Corridor dialog box is displayed.

  2. Expand the Feature Line Connection Options collection.
  3. Change the Feature Lines Cross Baseline to Yes.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Make an edit to the geometry of the corridor so that the change takes effect.
