About Displaying Labels as Tags

Display labels as tags when you want label content to be in a table.

Tags contain an identifier number that is displayed in the first column in an associated table. The other columns of the table display the object data as defined in the table style.

General line and curve label styles can be displayed as tags. Tag display mode is also supported by parcel and alignment segments labels as well as curve labels. You can specify the tag start number and increment numbers in the Table Tag Numbering dialog box.

Note: By setting label styles to Tag display mode before creating tables, you can avoid creating unnecessary child styles. For more information, see About Automatically-Created Child Label Styles.
