To Add and Remove Bends along a Pipe Run in a Profile View

Modify your path-based pressure network with bends at vertical points of intersection in your pipe runs.

Add a bend and vertical point of intersection to a pipe run in a profile view

  1. Select a pipe run in the profile view. The Pressure Network Profile Layout tab opens.
  2. On the Pressure Network Plan Layout tab, click Layout panel Add Bend/PVI .
  3. Pick a point in the drawing for the bend. If the point is placed outside the pipe run, the pipe run will adjust to meet the new bend.

A point of intersection is placed with a bend fitting.

  4. Use the pipe run grips to further adjust your pipe run.

Remove redundant or unnecessary vertical points of intersection from a pipe run in profile view

  1. Select a pipe run in the pressure network. The Pressure Network Profile Layout tab opens.
  2. On the Pressure Network Plan Layout tab, click Layout panel Remove Bend/PVI .
  3. Select the pipe run.
  4. Click near the point of intersection that you want to remove.

The point of intersection is removed, and the pipe run geometry adjusts to compensate for the new pipe run path.

  5. Use the pipe run grips to further adjust your pipe run.
