This section describes the axis of rotation pivot methods that are supported in Autodesk Civil 3D.
Note: Superelevation axis of rotation calculations are performed only on stations that are in the superelevation curve group. This includes any alignment stations that are between the End Normal Shoulder/End Normal Crown and Begin Normal Shoulder/Begin Normal Crown critical stations.
Each topic contains the following illustrations:
- A series of cross sections that illustrate the assembly behavior at each critical station. The
icon indicates pivot points for each case. - A typical superelevation view for each case. The colored and dashed lines in the superelevation view correspond to the dots in the cross sections.
Note: Unless otherwise noted, all superelevation diagrams illustrate a right-hand curve.
