Select a Vertical Baseline Dialog Box

When you are defining a baseline for an offset assembly, you can specify one alignment/profile or feature line for its horizontal geometry, and a second alignment/profile or feature line for its vertical geometry. Use this dialog box to define the vertical geometry for an offset assembly.

The horizontal baseline that was selected for the offset assembly is displayed in this dialog box for reference. The vertical baseline that you select must be of the same type as what you specify for the horizontal baseline, so the Baseline Type is read-only.

Baseline Type
Displays the baseline type that was specified for the horizontal baseline, either Alignment and Profile or Feature Line.
  • Alignment and Profile: For a Baseline Type of Alignment and Profile, use the Alignment and Profile lists to select the alignment and profile, or click to select objects in the drawing.
  • Feature Line: For a Baseline Type of Feature Line, use the Site and Feature Line lists to select the feature line. Select a site from the drop-down list or click to select an object in the site in the drawing. This selection filters the list of feature lines.
Note: You can leave this as <None> to list the feature lines that are not stored in a site.
Tip: If a feature line is not named, it will not appear in the drop-down list. You can click to select any feature line (named or unnamed) in the drawing. If the selected feature line is not named, the Apply Feature Line Names dialog box is displayed so you can enter a name for it.

You can select feature lines that have been created using the feature line creation tools, including feature lines that have been extracted from a corridor. However, feature lines that have been extracted from a corridor cannot be selected for use as a baseline in the same corridor.
