To Turn Section View Drafting Buffers Off and On

You can use the DraftingBuffer command to turn the section view drafting buffers off and on.

This command controls whether annotation and drafting elements that are within section view drafting buffers, and are bound to the section views, are moved with the section views if they are moved.

Drafting Buffer State Effect
On Annotation and drafting elements that are within drafting buffers and are bound with the section views are moved with the section views if they are moved.
Off Annotation and drafting elements that are within drafting buffers and are bound with the section views are not moved with the section views if they are moved.
Note: Moving an annotation or drafting element inside the drafting buffer controls whether it is bound with the section view. Moving a section view does not affect whether it is bound with annotation or drafting elements inside the drafting buffer. Therefore, if the drafting buffer is set to Off and the section view has moved away from an annotation or drafting element, the element is still bound to the section view but will not be moved with the section view until the drafting buffer is set to On.
Note: The DraftingBuffer command does not affect the visibility of drafting buffers in the drawing. You can control drafting buffer visibility by editing the section view style.
  1. Enter DraftingBuffer at the command line.
  2. At the command prompt, do one of the following:
    • Enter Off to turn off the drafting buffers.
    • Enter On to turn on the drafting buffers.
