Use the AeccViewportOpt system variable to control the behavior of viewports whose types are set to Section so that only the objects that appear within viewports are generated and redrawn.

When enabled (set to On) this system variable controls the behavior of viewports whose types are set to Section so that only the objects that appear within viewports are generated and redrawn. Previously the entire drawing was redrawn even if only a portion of it was displayed in a viewport. This replicates the existing behavior for viewports whose types are set to Profile. For viewports that are set to Profile or Section types in paper space, the following entities will be not drawn: pipe networks, pressure pipe networks, surfaces, alignments, and all DBGraph entities (for example, profile view, section view, mass haul view, superelevation view) that are not within the viewport range. To disable this system variable and restore the previous behavior, you can set it to Off. |
