Edit Pen Patterns for the DWF or DWFx File

In the Edit Pen Set dialog box, you can specify pen pattern, width, shape, effect, and other settings such as scaling and global pen widths. The changes you make in the Edit Pen Set dialog box are saved in the plotter configuration file.

Note: To edit pen patterns, select 255 Virtual Pens as your color depth.

Procedures

To edit the Edit Pen Set dialog box for the DWF or DWFx file

  1. Click Home tab Output panel Plot.
  2. In the Printer/Plotter area, in the Name list, select a DWF or DWFx plotting device. Click Properties.
  3. In the Plotter Configuration Editor, Device and Document Settings tab, expand the Graphics node in the tree window. Select Vector Graphics. In the Color Depth Area, select 255 Virtual Pens as your color depth, and then select Custom Properties from the tree window.
  4. In the Access Custom Dialog area, click Custom Properties.
  5. In the Properties dialog box, click Edit Patterns.
  6. In the Edit Pen Set dialog box, right-click a field.
  7. Select from the menu of common settings, or click Properties to display the Pen Properties dialog box where you can modify the attributes for each individual pen set.
  8. In the Pen Properties dialog box, click OK.
  9. In the Edit Pen dialog box, click OK.
  10. In the Properties dialog box, click OK.
  11. In the Plotter Configuration Editor dialog box, click OK.
  12. In the Changes to a Printer Configuration File dialog box, click one of the following:
    • Apply Changes for the Current Plot Only.
    • Save Changes to the Following File. (Enter the file name.)
  13. In the Browse for Plot File dialog box, in the Save In location list, select a plotting location for the file, and click Save. Click OK.
