Overview of Creating or Modifying a DWFx Configuration File

The PUBLISH command uses the DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3 plotter configuration file to create DWFx files.

Although you can save DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3 files under other names for use with the PLOT command, no other name will work with the PUBLISH command.

To make changes directly to the DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3 file, use the Properties button in the Plot dialog box. This action invokes the pc3 editor.

Any changes you make to the DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3 file are used whenever you plot or publish DWFx files until you change the settings of your DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3 file again.

Note: Create a backup before you make any changes to the DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3 file. Alternately, you can re-create the default DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3 file with the Add-A-Plotter wizard.

You can specify the following settings when you edit the DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3 configuration file:

Note: DWFx files intended for plotting should be configured with a white background color. If the background color is set to black, color 7 objects are plotted as white. For all other background colors, color 7 objects are plotted as black.
