Copying and Pasting Timeline FX
In Effects, you can now copy-paste the a Timeline FX using the Tangent control panels.
Tangent ARC—CC, CW, Look and Image FX:
- Navigation module
- Press the Keypad button to navigate to the EXPLORER page
- EXPLORER page (1 or 2 based on the selected mode)
It is also possible to copy the selected Timeline FX:

Select the FX to copy from the FX Ribbon.

Press Copy Effect.

Navigate to the destination shot.

Press Paste Effect.
Mouse Emulation
When using Image FX or node, you can now set the Navigation Trackball and Ring to emulate a mouse, and use the Trackball button as Left and Right mouse button. This allows you to use the Trackball to pick Keyer Color, modify GMask, etc. without moving your hands from the panel.
Mouse Emulation is available in:
- IM Sel Sc Lin
- IM Sel Log
- IM Sel Video
- IM Sel Tone
- IM Sel Ctrl
- IM Sel Curves
On the Tangent Element:
- MF module: Hold B button (ALT mode).
- The Selective navigation buttons change to:
- Pick Col: Press to enable the Diamond Keyer Colour Picking mode.
- Mouse: Press to set the MF Trackball to mouse emulation.
- The two buttons on top of the Trackball act as Left and Right mouse buttons
- To exit mouse emulation: Press the Mouse button.
- On the Tangent ARC:
- Navigation module: On the top row, the two last buttons are:
- Pick Col: Press to enable the Diamond Keyer Colour Picking mode.
- Mouse: Press to set the MF Trackball to mouse emulation.
- The two buttons on top of the Trackball act as Left and Right mouse buttons
- To exit mouse emulation: Press the Mouse button.
Mode and Controls Highlighting
The following modes are now highlighted on the panels:

Updated Primary Grading Controls
On the Tangent ARC, Primary Grading control pages have been re-ordered to match the improved Selective modes.
Page 1 and page 2 have been swapped:
GMask Enhancements
With a Tangent panel, you can now invert the current GMask, a Keyer, or a Selective Matte.
Note: On the Tangent ARC, the missing <GMask> and <Keyer> mappings in Control mode were added to pages 2 and 3 of the Function module.
Tangent ARC (Log, Scene Linear, Video, Tone and Selective modes):

Functions module (middle Buttons bank, page 1)

Inv Sel: Inverts the Selective.

Inv Keyer: Inverts matte of the current Keyer (was named Invert in previous releases).

Inv GMask: Inverts the currently selected GMask.

Inv GMasks: Inverts all GMask of the current Selective.
Note: The Translate, Rotate and Scale edit modes are not available in ALT mode.
Tangent Element (All Selective modes):
- BT module: Invert is now Inv Keyer (Inv Sel with ALT mode)
You can now select the GMask of the current Selective from the Tangent panels when in Log, Scene Linear, Video, Tone or Selective modes.
Tangent ARC:
- Navigation module
- Hold ALT and the Selective button becomes GMask
- Tangent Element:
- BT module
- Hold ALT and the Selective button becomes GMask
You can now navigate between the different GMasks of the current Selective when in All Selective modes or Other mode.
Tangent ARC:
- Navigation module: The Previous and Next Node button now can be used to navigate GMask (in ALT mode)
Tangent Element
- BT(2) module: The Previous and Next GMask buttons have been added to page 1 (ALT mode)
Note: Axis Knob rotation directions were inverted to match the user interface of the application.
Other Improvements
- Timeline Pan and Zoom are now available in all Timeline modes.
- Scene Linear grading controls sensitivity has been modified to match Video and Log grading controls sensitivity.
- MasterGrade is now focused on GUI when pressing Controls or Curves on Tangent panels.
- In MasterGrade Single pane mode, navigating between Selectives pages from the panels now updates the GUI as expected.
