Cable Wire dialog box

Adds, modifies, and removes properties on selected library cable definitions.

Access:

From the Cable & Harness Library dialog box, click the cable to edit, and then do one of the following: Right-click the cable, and then select Edit from the context menu. Select the cable, and then click Edit.

General tab

Displays the name, category, and part number along with physical characteristics of the cable.

Name	Sets or displays the name of the selected cable.
Category	Sets or displays the category in which the cable is organized, if applicable.
Part Number	Sets or displays the part number for the selected cable.
Outer Diameter	Sets the diameter as either fixed or calculated. If the diameter is fixed, the default or last used outer diameter is displayed (in length units) for the selected cable. If the Calculate Size from Wires check box is selected, the value cannot be entered.

Wires tab

Conductor list	Lists the wires that make up the cable so you can change the Conductor ID. Click a Conductor ID in the list to edit it.
Add	Displays the Add Wires dialog for you to add wires to the cable.
Remove	Removes the selected wire from the cable.

Note: Removing a wire from the cable, does not remove it from the library.

Custom tab

Use the view and set the name, data type, and value for custom properties.

Name	Displays the entered property name. Click in the input area to enter a new property, or if available, click the arrow to select from the list.
Type	Data type for the selected property. Click the arrow to select an appropriate data type from the list.
Value	Enter a value for the selected property, if desired.
Add	Adds a new property to the list.
Delete	Removes the selected property from the list.
