Print Dialog Reference

Sets options for printing or plotting models or drawings.

Access

Click File Print.

Sets the options for printing or plotting all or a portion of the active model.

Name: Specifies the printer or plotter. To change the printer or plotter, click the arrow and select from the list.
Properties: Opens the Properties dialog box used to set the print properties, such as paper size and orientation.
Print Range: Sets the page range to print. For a model, only the portion of the model that is displayed in the graphics window is printed (All is the only option available).
Number of Copies: Sets the number of copies to print. Enter the number of copies, or use the up or down arrow to select the number of copies.

Sets the options for printing or plotting the sheets in a drawing.

Name

Specifies the printer or plotter. To change the printer or plotter, click the arrow and then select from the list.

Properties

Opens the Properties dialog box used to set the print properties, such as paper size and orientation..

Print Range

Specifies the sheets to print.

Current Sheet: Prints the active sheet in the drawing.
All Sheets: Prints all the sheets in the drawing. To print sheets for which the Exclude from Printing option is checked in the Edit Sheet dialog box, select Print Excluded Sheets.
Sheets in Range: Prints the range of sheets specified in the From and To boxes.
From/To: Sets the range of sheets to print. Click Sheets in Range, and then enter the first and last sheet numbers in the range.
Collate: Available when the drawing has more than 1 sheet, and you specify to print 2 or more copies.
Print Excluded Sheets: When selected, prints sheets for which the Exclude from Printing option is checked in the Edit Sheet dialog box. Clear the check box to exclude the sheets from printing.

Settings

Specifies overrides for color, black and white, lineweight, and rotation. Print settings are applied at print time.

Number of Copies: Sets the number of copies to print. Enter the number in the box.
Rotate by 90 degrees: Changes the orientation of the drawing on the paper to 90 degrees.
All Colors as Black: Prints the drawing in black and white. Embedded images and shaded views still print in color.
Remove Object Line Weight: Prints all line weights the same, regardless of the lineweight settings in the drawing.

Scale

Sets the scale between the sheet size specified in the drawing and the paper size in the printer or plotter.

Model 1:1: Sets the sheet and paper to the same scale. If the paper is smaller than the specified sheet size, a portion of the sheet does not print. Select if a drawing can be tiled for printing on multiple pages.
Tiling enabled: Specifies that large drawings are tiled for printing on multiple pages. Prints registration marks on page corners for alignment of printed pages. Page identifiers contain the drawing and sheetname, and a table cell number to help keep pages in order.
Best Fit: Sets the sheet scale to the paper size.
Custom (Model : Paper): Sets a custom scale. Enter the desired scale in the box or click the arrow to select the scale from the list.
Current Window: Scales the entire drawing to fit the size of the paper.
