Pattern plastic parts dialog box

Duplicates one plastic part and arranges the resulting occurrences in a rectangular, circular, or variable pattern.

Access:
  On the Mold Layout tab, click Pattern.

Rectangular pattern

 
Plastic Part

In the graphics window, select a plastic part.

Pattern Type
Base Pattern

Arranges plastic parts in a rectangular pattern along an X and Y direction.

X Balance

Arranges plastic parts in a rectangular pattern and rotates these parts about a negative X axis of 180 degrees.

Y Balance

Arranges plastic parts in a rectangular pattern and rotates these parts about a negative Y axis of 180 degrees.

X Direction
Count

Enter the number of plastic parts in the X direction; this number must be greater than zero.

X Length

Enter the distance between parts in the X direction; this value must be greater than zero.

Y Direction
Count

Enter the number of plastic parts in the Y direction; this number must be greater than zero.

Y Length

Enter the distance between parts in the Y direction; this value must be greater than zero.

Select to expand the dialog box and specify Unique files.

Circular pattern

 
Plastic Part

In the graphics window, select a plastic part.

Pattern Type
Base Pattern

Arranges plastic parts in a circular pattern. All parts have same coordinate direction.

Radius Pattern

Arranges plastic parts in a circular pattern. Every part points to the center of the circle.

Circular
Count

Enter the number of plastic parts in the circular pattern.

Rotation Angle

Enter the rotation angle of the plastic part around its own center point.

Radius

Enter the radius of the circle of the pattern

Pattern Angle

Enter the space angle between adjacent parts.

Select to expand the dialog box and specify Unique files.

Variable pattern

 
Plastic Part

In the graphics window, select a plastic part.

Inherit from the last pattern This method is quick for adding parts by using the last pattern design.
Element list
Element

Add or delete an element. Also supports adding an element by copying an existing part.

Rotate

Rotate the part around its own center point.

X Offset

Move the part in the X direction. Positive and negative numbers are both available.

Y Offset

Move the part in the Y direction. Positive and negative numbers are both available.

Context menu
Add

Add a new element from the list.

Add as copy

Copy an existing element as a new element. The new element inherits all the parameter values of the existing element.

Delete

Delete an existing element.

Select to expand the dialog box and specify Unique files.
