Ribbon Cable Properties dialog box

Adds, modifies, and removes properties on selected library ribbon cable occurrences.

Access:

With an active harness assembly, right-click a ribbon cable occurrence, and then select Harness Properties.

Occurrence Tab

Ribbon Cable ID	Displays the ribbon cable ID, which is the unique name for the ribbon cable occurrence within the assembly. It is also the name used in the browser.
Length	Displays the current ribbon cable length.
Adjusted Length	Displays the length, plus the value of the property that affects it. For example, if the global slack or embedded length properties exists for the selected ribbon cable, the length is adjusted accordingly and displayed here.

Display tab

Appearance	Sets or displays the appearance for the selected ribbon cable. The selected appearance is displayed. Conductor One sets the appearance of the conductor (wire) in the ribbon cable that connects to the first pin. Ribbon Body sets the appearance of the conductors that make up the body of the ribbon cable, with the exception of conductor one.
Default Display	Sets rendered or centerline display for the selected ribbon cable. Centerline Rendered

General tab

Name	Displays the library name of the selected ribbon cable.
Category	Displays the category in which the ribbon cable is organized, if applicable.
Part Number	Displays the part number for the selected ribbon cable.
Number of Conductors	Displays the number of conductors that are included in the selected ribbon cable.
Pitch	Displays the distance increment of the conductors in the selected ribbon cable.
Height	Displays the height or thickness for the selected ribbon cable.
Width	Displays the width for the selected ribbon cable.
Gauge	Displays the gauge for the conductors that are included in the selected ribbon cable.
Core Size	Displays the core size for the conductors included in the ribbon cable as a diameter.

Custom tab

Name	Displays the entered property name. Click in the input area to enter a new property, or if available, click the arrow to select from the list.
Type	Data type for the selected property. Click the arrow to select an appropriate data type from the list.
Value	Enter a value for the selected property, if desired.
Add	Adds a new property to the list.
Modify	Changes the selected property's name, type, or value.
Delete	Removes the selected property from the list.
