After you create an analysis, you can export Frame Analysis data to RTD (Robot Structure File) file format.
On the Publish panel, click the Export command
. If the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis program is installed, options are enabled in the Integration with Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis dialog box.
RTD file contains all defined loads, constraints, rigid links, releases, beam materials, and beam sections. You can open the saved document in the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional, and calculate results based on data you exported from the Autodesk Inventor assembly.
During an export, the Robot Structural Analysis Program (RSA) tries to map the standardized sections from Autodesk Inventor into the RSA database. If the corresponding section is found in the steel section databases available in RSA, all of its properties come from RSA database. In any other case, the section is defined without considering its shape. The values such as the section areas, the moments of inertia, and so on, are assigned from the Autodesk Inventor Frame Analysis database. It is then possible to perform additional RSA features like steel design, or connection verification. On the other hand, the results in RSA can slightly vary from results in Frame Analysis due to the non-identical section parameters.
The following export options are available:

Save Simulation as Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis RTD file (indirect transfer): Click OK to open the standard Save As dialog box, and specify the desired location for the RTD file.

Send Simulation to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis (direct transfer): Directly creates the calculation model in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis based on current frame analysis data in Autodesk Inventor.

Create New Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis project: Creates a project in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.

Merge with current Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis project: Modifies the project that is currently open in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, after changes occur in the Frame Analysis.
You can export data from Autodesk Inventor to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2011. However, sections are not converted and exported to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2010. Earlier versions of Robot Structural Analysis are not supported.
