Export one or more files to a specified file type, at a specified time.

Note: Before exporting files from Vault, first check out the files from Vault.
- In the Inventor Task Scheduler window, click Export Files
.
The information in the task list switches to show any import files tasks that you saved previously.
- In the Inventor Task Scheduler window, right-click, and select Create Task Export Files.
- In the Export Files dialog box, select any of these options:
- Add Folder. Specifies a folder to include in the task. Your selection includes the folder’s Inventor files and their dependencies. If you choose Add Folder, you have two further options: include subfolders (click in the Recursive column) and specify file types to include (click in the Input File Name column).
- Add Files. Specifies individual files.
- Specify the output file type:
- Select one of the files you listed, click in the Output File Name column, and click
. In the Save As dialog, save the file with the appropriate file extension for the output, and click Save.
Note: When exporting to .glTF you can specify the extension to output either .gltf or .glb (default).
- .gltf output consists of an ascii file (.gltf), a binary file, and .png files representing the textures. Typically this output would used by one who is editing the contents of the files.
- .glb output produces a single binary file with all of the textures included. Typically used by one who is consuming the output.
- Select one of the folders you listed, click in the Output File Name column, and use the drop-down menu to set the output file type.
- In the Export Files dialog, select an entry in the list, click Options, and set options for the output format you selected.
- In the Task Properties box, enter a task name and a time-out threshold.
- Specify a schedule, or select the Immediately option.
- Click OK.
