The text included in a label is specified in the library definition. By adding text on the library definition for a label, you can specify the label text once, and place that label multiple times. You can also override this definition to customize the text on the individual occurrences.
Add text to new library label definitions
- Activate a harness assembly.
- On the ribbon, click Cable and Harness tab Manage panel Library .
- Click the arrow to select Label from the type list.
- Click New from dialog box.
- Enter a name, category, and part number property for the new label.
- Enter a height and width for the label.
- Enter the default contents:
- To insert defined properties, click the arrow to select a property from the list, and then click Insert Property.
- To add custom text, click the text box and enter the label text.
- Optionally, click the arrow to select a different font size from the list.
- Click Save.
Change text on library label definitions
- Activate a harness assembly.
- On the ribbon, click Cable and Harness tab Manage panel Library .
- Click the arrow and select Label from the type list.
- Click Edit from the dialog box.
- Click the text box to modify existing text, insert new properties, or add custom text.
- Click Save.
Change text on a label occurrence
- Activate a harness assembly.
- In the browser, right-click the label to change, and then select Harness Properties from the context menu.
- Optionally, on the Label Properties dialog box, enter a new name for the label.
- Clear the Use Defaults check box.
- Modify the label content:
- To insert defined properties, click the arrow to select a property from the list, and then click Insert Property.
- To add custom text, click the text box and enter the label text.
- Optionally, click the arrow to select a different font size from the list.
- Click Save.
Note: When displayed in a nailboard, it is possible that the size of the label cannot accommodate the specified text. In this case, adjust the width, height, and font size of the library definition until all text is displayed. In the nailboard, you can also right-click the label, and then select Edit Text from the context menu to modify the font size and layout until all text is displayed.
