Populated Routes

What's New: 2021.1

A populated route is a solid, three-dimensional representation of the pipes and fittings. A route starts with a defined path, which you can populate with library components to complete the route. You can place fittings to the populated routes from Content Center using AutoDrop.

Tube and pipe information is treated like other parts and subassemblies and can be detailed using drawing manager methods and commands. You can document both populated and unpopulated routes. However, routes must be populated before being saved to the ISOGEN or bending machine formats.

Note: To populate a single route in a pipe run, activate the run. Then click Populate Route on the Pipe Run tab, or right-click the route in the Model browser.

In Inventor 2021.1 and newer releases, this operation occurs automatically.
