On the Cable and Harness tab, Visibility panel, use the Display Settings option to change the display between rendered and centerline. You can also right-click and select a display option from the context menu. You can change the display for all or individual segments, cables, wires, and ribbon cables depending on what is active when the display setting is selected. You can also control the display for each object independent of one another. Segments and ribbon cables are displayed as rendered by default, cables and wires are displayed as centerline.
Change the display for individual wires, cables, cable wires, ribbon cables, and segments
- Double-click the harness assembly to activate it.
- From the browser or graphics window, select a wire, cable, cable wire, segment, or ribbon cable.
Note: To select the geometry in the graphics window, you may need to set the Select command to Select sketch elements.
- Right-click, and then select the appropriate display setting from the context menu.
Alternatively, you can right-click and select Harness Properties, and then set the appropriate display from the related dialog box.
Change the display for all segments, cables, wires, and ribbon cables
- Double-click the harness assembly to activate it.
- From the browser, select the Segments, Cables, Wires, or Ribbon Cables folder.
- Right-click and select the appropriate display setting from the context menu.
Alternatively, on the Cable and Harness tab, Visibility panel, you can select the Display Settings.
Set custom display settings
Use the Custom Display setting to select different display options for all object types.
- Double-click the harness assembly to activate it.
- On the Cable and Harness tab, Visibility panel, click the arrow, and then select Custom display from the list.
- In the Custom Display dialog box, set the appropriate display for segments, cables, wires, and ribbon cables independent of one another.
- Click OK.
