Define a custom node in a frame structure

You can add nodes to a selected beam.

The first available node number is assigned to the defined node.

You can differentiate custom nodes in the graphic window only, not in the browser. In the General tab of the Frame Analysis Settings dialog box, select the display color for custom nodes.

To add a custom node:

  1. On the ribbon, click Frame Analysis tab Connections panel Custom Node .
  2. Select a beam where you want to add a node.
  3. Specify the offset value. Or, drag the node to the desired position.
  4. Optionally, right-click, and select More Options to display the Custom Node dialog box. Set the Offset value manually and decide if the Offset value is entered using absolute or relative values.
