The program searches through the relevant assembly for suitable parts and refreshes them.
The Refresh Standard Components process usually overwrites related .ipt files. To guarantee all occurrences receive the changes the process makes to the parts, run the Refresh command in Inventor afterward.
Note: Before you run this task, set the correct content server in Inventor.
- In the Inventor Task Scheduler window, click Refresh Standard Components .
- In the Inventor Task Scheduler window, right-click, and select Create Task Refresh Standard Components.
If the current Content Center Access option is set to Vault Server, the Log in to the Vault dialog box displays. Enter your vault user name and password and the server name and database location.
- In the Refresh Standard Components dialog box, in Project, specify the active project.
- Click Add Files, Add Folder, or Add Project.
- Add Folder. Specifies a folder to include in the task. Your selection includes the folder’s Inventor files and their dependencies. If you choose Add Folder, you have two further options: include subfolders (click in the Recursive column) and specify file types to include (click in the File Name column).
- Add Project. All the files within the project you specify are included.
- If necessary, repeat the steps to add more files and folders.
- In the Task Properties box, enter a task name and a time-out threshold.
- Specify a schedule, or select the Immediately option.
- Click Options. In the Refresh Options dialog, select any of the following criteria to define which parts to refresh, and click OK:
- Out-of-date components (the Content Center library contains a newer member)
- More current components (the Content Center library contains an older version of the member)
- Components with differing language (components were created in a language different from the current language set for the Content Center)
Click OK.
