To Work with GOST (ESKD) Add-In and Templates

The GOST / ESKD Templates

Inventor comes with two GOST-compliant drawing templates (IDW, DWG). The GOST templates come prepared with the appropriate title block, fonts, and other features required for compliance. Insert a base view in the template or you can draw a new part or assembly. You do have options for customization such as adding or removing title blocks, changing the arrowhead, and more.

The ESKD drawing templates and Annotate (ESKD) tab on the ribbon are used together to create GOST-compliant drawings in Inventor.

Load the ESKD Support add-in to display the Annotate (ESKD) tab on the ribbon.

From the application:

  1. Open Autodesk Inventor or Autodesk Inventor Professional.
  2. On the ribbon, click Tools tab Options panel Add-Ins.
  3. In the Add-In Manager dialog box, double-click the ESKD Support in the list to switch between Loaded and Unloaded or between Startup/Loaded and Startup/Unloaded.
  4. Click OK.
  1. From the Windows Start menu, select Programs Autodesk Autodesk Inventor [version] Tools Add-In Manager.
  2. In the Add-In Manager dialog box, double-click the ESKD Support in the list to switch between Loaded and Unloaded or between Startup/Loaded and Startup/Unloaded.
  3. Click OK.
Note: Using this method, always restart the application for your changes to take effect.
