Use Create Cable to create a cable between selected pins within a harness assembly. Select the cable from the Cable & Harness Library, and then connect the cable wires to the needed pins on electrical components. The system automatically advances through the cable wires in sequence. You can also manually select the order in which to connect the cable wires.
The cable wires are created as rendered or centerline and with or without natural curvature depending on the selected display setting. The cable color and diameter depend on the library cable definition.
Note: Multiple cable wires can connect to the same pin.
- On the ribbon, click Cable and Harness tab Create panel Create Cable .
- On the Create Cable dialog box, enter a unique Cable ID or accept the default.

The cables listed vary depending on the selected category.
- Click Pin 1, and then click the graphics window to select the first (start) pin for the selected cable wire. The pin selector changes color when selected.
