To work with Sprue Bushings
Create a sprue bushing by using the linear method
In the
Mold Assembly
tab, click
Sprue Bushing
.
In the
Sprue Bushing
dialog box, select a sprue bushing type from the drop-down list.
In
Placement
, select
Linear
.
In the table under the component image, modify the parameters.
Click
Reference 1
and then in the graphics window, select a reference edge. Click
Flip Side
to reverse the direction of the reference.
Click
Reference 2
and then in the graphics window, select a second reference edge. Click
Flip Side
to reverse the direction of the reference.
To position the component in the graphics window, click a dimension line and then in the
Edit
box, enter a value.
In Offset, enter a value to move the bushing along the Z axis.
Click
OK
.
Create a sprue bushing from a runner sketch
On the
Mold Assembly
tab, click
Sprue Bushing
.
In the
Sprue Bushing
dialog box, select a sprue bushing type in the drop-down list.
In
Placement
, select
From Runner Sketch
.
In the table, under the component image, modify the parameters.
Click
Point
and then in the graphics window, select a point on a runner sketch.
In Ratio, set the distance along the runner sketch. Not available if you select a sketch point or end point.
In Offset, enter a value to move the bushing along the Z axis.
Click
OK
.
Edit a sprue bushing
In the
Mold Design
browser, right-click the
Sprue Bushing
node, and then click
Edit Feature
.
In the
Sprue Bushing
dialog box, modify the settings.
Click
OK
.
Delete a sprue bushing
In the
Mold Design
browser, right-click the
Sprue Bushing
node, and then click
Delete
.
