To Convert Sketch Text to Sketch Geometry

You can convert part, assembly, and drawing sketch text into sketch geometry and use, for example, to etch or engrave a part numbers or stock information onto a model.

1. Right-click the sketch text and select Convert to Geometry.

   

2. In the Convert to Geometry dialog box, select the desired SHX font. Optionally, click the Use Big Font checkbox, and select the Big Font to use.
3. Click OK.

The resultant text is:

• Simple sketch geometry (lines, arcs, splines, etc.).
• The geometry is not associative to the previous text.
Note: The original text layer color is maintained.
