The
Radiate Runoff Surface feature creates, edits, or deletes a radiated runoff surface.
Create a radiated runoff surface
- In the
Core/Cavity tab, click
Radiate Runoff Surface.
- In the graphics window, select an edge on the part. The start and end points of the runoff surface are entered automatically into the table.
- To improve the surface quality, click
Click to Add and select additional points on the selected edge.
- To set the direction of the radiated runoff surface, set the direction of each entry in the table. Select one method for all points:
- To rotate the direction, select the upper radio button. Then click
X or
Y to set the direction of the surface. Click the first entry in the table, and set the direction in the
Edit box. Repeat for all the entries in the table. To reverse the direction, click
Flip Direction.
- To align the direction with a specific face, edge or point, select the lower radio button. Click the first entry in the table, select the lower radio button, and in the graphics window, select the relevant reference point. Repeat for each entry in the table. To reverse the direction, click
Flip Direction.
Note: You can select the surface edge, face edge, planar face, work axis, or work plane as the reference direction.
- Click
Apply or
OK.
Edit a radiated runoff surface
- In the
Mold Design
browser, under
Runoff Surfaces, right-click a
Radiate Runoff Surface node, and then click Edit Feature.
- In the
Radiate Runoff Surface dialog box, modify the settings.
- Click
OK.
Delete a radiated runoff surface
- In the
Mold Design browser, under
Runoff Surfaces, right-click a
Radiate Runoff Surface node, and then click
Delete.
