Troubleshooting: Error reading RSe stream

When you try to open a file, the RSe stream error displays.

Issue

Inventor files can be considered as a database containing a collection of different files that are read as a table or database of different entity types. Inventor can only read the information that is needed for the current task. An Error reading RSe stream error indicates a problem reading the database, so the file cannot be opened.

Solution

Unfortunately, in most cases the file is not recoverable.

You may be able to open the file by doing the following:

• If you are opening the file over a network, try downloading the file and opening it locally.
• Make sure your anti-virus software is not preventing you from opening the file.
• Ensure you have sufficient privileges for opening the file.
• Try opening the latest saved version of the file in the OldVersions folder.
• If you are using Vault, open an earlier version of it from vault.
