Create a runoff surface
Before you create a runoff surface, define a workpiece.
- In the
Core/Cavity tab, click
Create Runoff Surface. The
Create Runoff Surface dialog box displays.
- Select edges to define a runoff loop, or click
Auto Detect to find all loops. In the graphics window, a preview generates of the detected runoff loop.
- If the detected runoff loop is not suitable, select the edges that are not required. and then click
Delete on the keyboard. Alternatively, hold down
Ctrl as you click the edges in the graphics window.
- To edit the surface direction of an edge, do one of the following:
- In the table, click the direction of an edge, and then select the direction in the drop-down list.
- In the table, right-click the edge, and then click a direction.
- In the graphics window, right-click an edge.
- Click
OK.
Change the runoff surface color
- In the
Mold Design browser, right-click
Runoff Surfaces, and then click
Change Display Color to change the color of all runoff surfaces.
- Alternately, right-click one or more child nodes, and then click
Change Display Color to change the color of individual runoff surfaces.
- In the
Change Display Color dialog box, select a new color from the drop-down list.
- Click
OK.
Edit a runoff surface
- In the
Mold Design
browser, under
Runoff Surfaces, right-click a Runoff Surface node, and then click Edit Feature.
- In the
Create Runoff Surface dialog box, modify the settings.
- Click
OK.
Delete a runoff surface
- In the
Mold Design browser, under
Runoff Surfaces, right-click a Runoff Surface node, and then click
Delete.
