Provides the means to design and create a gate in the mold design, and to edit or delete gates.
- Access
- On the Mold Layout tab, click Gate
.
- Type
- Select a gate type from the list and view an image of the gate under Preview.
- Placement

- Method
- Select One Point or Two Points.

Gate Location - In the graphics window, select a gate point as the start point of the gate.
- End Point
- If a Two Points method is used, select a runner sketch point as the end point of the gate.
- Rotation
- The projection of the gate axis on the XY plane counterclockwise rotation around the origin.
- Up or Down side
- The two types of gate orientation are the Up side (usually the cavity side) and the Down side (usually the core side). The Up side gate is a mirror of the Down side gate at a plane parallel to the XY plane and passing through the gate point.
- Copy to all pockets
- Copy the gate to all pockets when there is a layout setting.

- Modify the dimensions of the gate by clicking a cell in the Value column of the table, and then enter a value
