A dialog box lists the number of translational and rotational degrees of freedom for all the occurrences in the active assembly. Use the Animate Freedom setting to display an animation of the component movements.

Degree of Freedom Analysis
All first-level components in the active assembly are displayed, with a count of remaining degrees of translational and rotational freedom.
- Refresh List
- You can use this control to analyze the remaining degrees of freedom of multiple open assembly files. Activate another open assembly while the dialog box is displayed, and then click Refresh List. The list then shows the components of the active assembly.
- Animate Freedom
- Provides the means to select and animate graphically the degrees of freedom of a component. Click the Animate Freedom check box, and then click a cell within a row containing a component which has remaining degrees of freedom. The selected component is animated within the graphic display moving along or rotating about any remaining axis of freedom.
Note: Click Cancel at any time to close the Degree of Freedom Analysis dialog box.
