Specify an o-ring type and placement in the Design tab.
Connect to the Content Center server, and configure Content Center on your computer before you insert components using the O-Ring Generator.

By default, the Design tab layout is set to insert radial seals. On the left side of the dialog box, specify the placement. On the right side, you are prompted to select an o-ring from Content Center.
Apply and OK commands are grayed out. They become available after you specify the placement geometry and select a family with a valid o-ring member. At that point you can insert an o-ring into the assembly.
Defines the placement of the o-ring.

Select a planar face or work plane for an o-ring placement. Click Flip to flip an orientation of an o-ring. |
Distance |
Available for radial o-rings only. Specify the distance from the selected edge to the center of the groove. |
Use the combo box to select an o-ring from Content Center. Make sure you installed the appropriate libraries to Content Center. For example, if the ISO library is not installed and you want to insert an ISO o-ring, you select the ISO Standard from the list, but no o-rings display. Also, a selected standard or category might not contain the correct size o-ring for the selected rod or bore.
You can narrow the selection - display o-rings according to Standard or Category.
The following o-ring categories are available:
To edit an o-ring, select the row with an o-ring.

Preview |
Displays the schematic image of the o-ring. |
If the cylinder diameter does not match the o-ring data, an error message displays, and the OK command is disabled.
To display the Results area on the right side of the Design tab, double-click the double line on the right, or click the chevron. Results display only if you specify the placement and type of the o-ring.
The Results pane provides an overview of o-ring parameters. You cannot edit values in the Results pane.
