Noise Brush Settings

Brush Mode
Specifies how the brush stroke applies noise to hairs in the brush radius.

Hotkey: Pressing N Toggles between Global and Local modes.

Global
Generates noise along the length of each hair from root to tip. By default, the stroke affects the hairs length, orientation, and curvature.
Local
Generates noise between the CVs on each hair. Local is the default setting.
Frequency
Sets the frequency of the noise as cycles per-unit length of the hair strand.
Magnitude
Sets the maximum distance that CVs can be displaced by the noise effect.
Correlation
Sets the amount that the effect of noise correlates between neighboring hair strands.
