Create character sets

You can create character sets from the Key menu, the Trax Editor, or the Relationship Editor.

To create a character set from the Key menu

  1. Select the objects you want to include in the character set.
  2. Do either of the following, depending on whether you want to set creation options, or use the options already set in the Create Character Set Options:

To create a character set in the Trax Editor

Note: You do not have to manually create character sets in the Trax Editor. When you create a clip for an animated object, a character set is automatically created in the Trax Editor for the object’s clip.
  1. Select the object you want to add to a new character set.
  2. In the Trax Editor, select Create > Character Set > .

The Create Character Set Options window appears. See Character Sets.

  3. Set the options and click Create Character Set.

A character set is created, and the selected object is made a member of that set.

To create a character set in the Relationship Editor

  1. You can also create characters while using the Relationship Editor in Character Editing mode (select Windows > Relationship Editors > Character Sets). Select the objects you want to include in the character set, and in the Relationship Editor, select Edit > Create Character Set.
