Maya's Interactive Tutorials give you a hands-on introduction to key concepts that let you get up to speed with quick, informative, games.
If you're new to Maya, try starting with the Getting Started tab on the left side of
Application Home. In here, you'll find a number of interactive experiences aimed at teaching you essential skills.
Note: Interactive learning is only available on Windows and Mac.
New to 3D?
Click the
Start Interactive Tutorial button to meet Mayabot, your virtual instructor, and help it navigate around its home town and move some objects.
You can also click the tiles in the
Interactive Tutorials section below to download additional interactive tutorials.
To download and run an interactive tutorial
- Click the appropriate tile in
Application Home's
Getting Started section, or click
View All to find a different one in the gallery.
- Download the associated .zip file from the gallery page.
- Unzip the folder to your computer.
- Open the .ma in the unzipped folder.
New to Maya, but not to 3D?
If you're well-versed in 3D concepts and navigation, but new to Maya's interface, try clicking
Start Quick Tour to view a short, stepped overview of its most useful concepts and tools. Each step includes a link to more detailed documentation on the featured item. This experience is faster than the interactive tutorials, although less thorough.
