To save your scene automatically in timed intervals
- Select
Windows > Settings/Preferences > Preferences.
The
Preferences window appears.
- In the
Categories, under the
Settings section, select
Files/Projects.
- In the
Autosave section, turn on
Enable.
- Set any additional options and click the
Save button. See the
Autosave section of the
Files/Projects preferences topic for a description of these options.
Important: If you open an AutoSaved file and then continue to work on it, it will not be autosaved. To continue working on an autosaved file and have it subject to autosaving, rename and save the file in a location
other than where the autosaved files are found.
Note:
The autosave file has the same name as the source file, followed by an incrementing number.
