Disable color management for all scenes

If you never use color management, you can disable it for all scenes using an external color management preferences file.

Warning: Using this method will change the stored color management settings in every scene that you open and resave.
  1. Open the Color Management preferences .
  2. Turn off Enable Color Management.
  3. Click Export CM Pref, and then specify a directory and file name.
Important: Do not overwrite synColorConfig.xml in your Maya prefs/ folder.
Note: To use the same file for multiple machines, set the MAYA_COLOR_MANAGEMENT_POLICY_FILE environment variable to the network path and name of the file.

For more information about using external color management preferences in general, see Use color management policies (external preference files).
