About Autodesk Color Management
Autodesk Color Management (also known as the Synergy color management component, or SynColor) is a shared technology component that is integrated into several Autodesk applications. This allows for consistent processing, interpretation, and communication of colors throughout a mixed pipeline.
Color Management Concepts
Color management enables enables colors to be reproduced as accurately as possible across different devices and media. Unlike color correction, the intention of color management is not to change colors but instead to preserve perceived colors in different situations.
Guidelines for Configuring Custom Color Transform Chains Manually
Although Autodesk Color Management provides tools to automatically apply the required transforms to convert between color spaces, there may be special situations where you require more control over the specific transforms to apply. This section describes how you may use the components found in the Autodesk color transform collection as building blocks to assemble customized conversions for specific tasks.
Color Transform Files
The color transforms included with Autodesk Color Management are supplied as individual files in CTF format. In addition, Autodesk Color Management can import many third-party LUT and transform formats.
