Add, remove, or replace the components that are used in your nParticle constraint by editing constraint membership.
You cannot, however, add an object to an existing constraint by editing constraint membership.
To edit nParticle constraint membership
- Select the constraint whose membership you would like to edit.
- Select .
The component members and links of the selected constraint highlight in the scene view.
- Select the object whose constraint membership you want to edit.
- Switch to a component selection mode appropriate for the type of component you want to add, remove, or replace for your constraint.
For example, if you want to edit the membership of a Component to Component constraint that links vertices, switch to Vertex selection mode.
- Select the components whose membership you want to edit.
- Do one of the following:
- To add the selected components to the constraint, select .
- To remove the selected components from the constraint, select .
- To replace all the current constraint members on the selected object with the selected components, select .
To use the nConstraint Membership Tool to edit dynamic constraint membership
- Select the constrained nParticle, nCloth, or passive object for which you want to edit dynamic constraint membership.
- In the Attribute Editor, select the tab for the specific dynamic constraint (dynamicConstraint) whose membership you want to edit, and then click Select.
- In the FX menu set, select .
- Do one of the following:
- Select the constrained object or vertices you want to replace the current members of the selected dynamic constraint.
- -click the object or vertices you want to add to the selected dynamic constraint.
- -click the object or vertices you want to remove from the selected dynamic constraint.
- Press to complete the replace, add, or remove dynamic constraint members operation.
