You can use Maya Fields in conjunction with the Bullet simulation, in place of the Bullet Basic Fields. This gives you expanded control over the behavior of your solve. See Work with fields for information on using Fields settings.
To use Maya Fields with your Bullet solve:
- Set up your Rigid body solve. (See Create Bullet Rigid Bodies.)
- Select the Bullet Solver. ( > Select Solver)
- Scroll down to the Basic Fields section of the Solver window and select Use Maya Fields.
- Switch to the FX menu set.
- Select the objects you want the Maya fields to act on, and from the Fields drop-down menu, select the fields that you want to change.
Note: Remember to specify a Gravity (Fields/Solvers > Gravity) setting to each object when using fields, or your objects will be immobile, as this Maya Field does not exist by default as it does in Bullet. You can set Gravity for every object in the solve if you select the Solver before specifying a Gravity setting.
