Create an nParticle nCache

You can save each frame of your nParticle simulation in an nCache. When you playback the simulation Nucleus reads the cache files each frame, instead of recomputing the simulation.

You can specify whether you want your nCache to include position, velocity, or a number of other attribute values.

To create a new nParticle cache

  1. Select the nParticle object you want to cache.
  2. In the Caching section of the nParticleShape Attribute Editor, choose which properties you want saved by selecting them from the Cacheable Attributes list.

    See nParticle Caching attributes.

  3. Select nCache > Create New Cache > nObject > .

For information on creating and editing nParticle nCaches, see Create or import nCaches and Work with nCache clips.
