Synopsis

targetWeldCtx [-exists] [-image1 string] [-image2 string] [-image3 string] [-mergeToCenter boolean] [-preserveUV boolean]

targetWeldCtx is undoable, queryable, and editable.

Create a new context to weld vertices together on a poly object.

Return value

None

In query mode, return type is based on queried flag.

Flags

exists, image1, image2, image3, mergeToCenter, preserveUV
Long name (short name) Argument types Properties
-exists(-ex) create
Returns true or false depending upon whether the specified object exists. Other flags are ignored.
-image1(-i1) string createqueryedit
First of three possible icons representing the tool associated with the context.
-image2(-i2) string createqueryedit
Second of three possible icons representing the tool associated with the context.
-image3(-i3) string createqueryedit
Third of three possible icons representing the tool associated with the context.
-mergeToCenter(-mtc) boolean createqueryedit
If mergeToCenter is set to true then the source and target vertices's will be moved to the center before doing the merge. If set to false the source vertex will be moved to the target vertex before doing the merge.
-preserveUV(-puv) boolean queryedit
When false, UVs are not changed when welding components. When true, the UVs are modified to stop texture swimming when welding components. Default is true.

targetWeldCtx;

// To query if it is set to merge to the center:
targetWeldCtx -q -mergeToCenter targetWeldCtx1;

// To set it to merge at the target:
