Roundness optimization dialog

This dialog is used to define rounded edges that are of particular interest in terms of their manufacturing tolerance. Use these criteria in a DOE or Parametric Study optimization analysis to understand how different process settings affect how these rounded components change shape, following a warp analysis.

To access this dialog, click roundness icon (Optimization tab > Criteria panel > Roundness).

Dialog element	Explanation
Node ID	Ensure the model nodes are visible, by checking the appropriate box in the Layers pane. Select a node on a rounded edge; the node ID appears in this box. If Auto select edge is on, then all the nodes on the edge are selected automatically, and they all appear listed in this box. If you know the id of a node on the edge of interest, you can type it directly into this box.
Auto select edge	By default, Auto select edge is applied. When you select an edge node, all nodes on the same edge are automatically selected. Click Auto select edge to turn off the autoselect, and select the nodes manually.
Selection name	Enter a unique name that describes the rounded edge you selected, so you can associate it, later, with the appropriate edge.
